Thanks!!!! I want to far this game, and only days ago i figured that you put a linux version for Machinarium, and for that i was by to buy this game. Now, I already make my purchase for this promotion.

I just bought this yesterday for $20. Darn you faulty crystal ball!!!

However, this wonderful game is worth in excess of $20, even if just to appreciate the wonderful art and music. I purchased it directly from their website, so hopefully they will get most (if not all) of the revenue, which they rightfully deserve.

Please tell me…why does every other source except Steam get access to the soundtracks for these games?

It just makes no fucking sense…you pay the same price as you would like anywhere else for each game…yet you get less from paying it…

@Stixsmaster: Whilst you might pay the same price, Amanita Design don’t get as much money as Steam takes some of it. Therefore they want to encourage you to buy it from their site.

Stixsmaster: the soundtrack is only if you buy it from our web from which we have much bigger revenue share. this way we try to convince people to buy it here. the game cost everywhere the same but only in our website you’ll get the bonus (all 3 versions and the soundtrack and this week also Samorost2 and 50% discount).

StringCheesian says: mailing address isn’t needed however the system is sometimes checking if the address match with your credit card so you can try to enter only xxxxx instead of your address and if the payment won’t be processed you should enter you correct address asociated with your card.

I bought both of those games when their prices weren’t even cut and now I have neither the Samorost 2 soundtrack nor any decent cover pictures… Is there no other way to get those things than to buy all of it again?

Ajace: yes you can resend the emails you’ll get or enter your friends email when ordering. eventually you can download it and burn on cd.

Can we expect a similar deal on Machinarium for Steam in the future? (Around Boxing Day, maybe?) I’ve already bought Samorost 2 through Steam, and wouldn’t mind adding Machinarium to my account. Also, I recall reading about a retail copy of the game becoming available next March in the UK. Will that also be released in North America at some point? Thanks.

I have finished warez version of Machinarium and realized that it was the best game i played in last years. So i bought it now from this site because i wanted that my money goes right to developer (im working in game industry 7 years as producer and i know the percentages :) I really would like to thank Jakub and all the developers team because this game touched my soul. This is really piece of art among tons of crap released these years.
The artwork, music, the idea of the game, story – everything is excellent and looks like it was done special for me to please my soul. The only thing i would like to recommend is to sell this excellent pack in higher price, because $10 is almost free.

Is it possible to get your Christmas Artwork without buying Holiday-Version of Machinarium? I bought a normal Version before.

The Linux version says “./Machinarium: error while loading shared libraries: libplds4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”
I have an EEE PC with Xandros. What am I to do?

This is just a ridiculous too-much-value-for-money deal. Buying 2 copies nearly felt like a ripping you off.

Like many others, i played the warez version first and liked it very much. 20$ was a little too much for me, but 10$ for it is very reasonable. And i get all the other bonuses (Samorost 2, art and soundtrack), which i never dreamed of. I would have payed 10$ only for Machinarium, but this is way better. Christmas a little earlier. :)

Thank you for making such a great game, it was the most original game i have played this year, the gameplay and art was fantastic. You should make more games like these.

ps: thank you for not using any DRM, it’s sales like this that show that pirates also buy games, when a game is great and at the right price. ;)

I also bought Machinarium at $20, at first I wished I had waited for this drop but thinking about it, the price was well worth it, in fact maaybe I’ll buy this pack just for Samorost2, if it is half as good as machinarium it will be worth it. @Ilya Chentsov: libplds4.so is part of libnspr4-0d on my Ubuntu system.

I don’t know how packages work in Xandros, but you might be able to do this in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install libnspr4-0d

Nice deal. I bought this yesterday and just finished Samorost2 and I’m about to start machinarium. It’s awesome, even better than the original one. I chose to buy this here instead of steam because there’s no DRM (thanks a lot for that and for supporting linux and mac os) and I assume you get a better cut. Keep it up the nice work.

I already bought the CD of Samarost2, so my decision to buy the Christmas Pack depends on whether the forthcoming English CD will have anything unique on it. For example, will it have the soundtrack as CD audio tracks (not converted from MP3s), or will it just have MP3s, or what? Any other bonuses?

Hi, I got the game for Christmas (on the package it says Windows and Mac OS version). Now I am surprised to find that there is also a Linux version. As I am an Linux user I wonder if I can somehow get it to run on Linux. Can I just copy the executable from the Linux Demo to the folder of the full version.

Purchased the game for Christmas to play with my 5 year old daughter. We’re into robots and are having a lot of fun. I can see her mind expanding before my eyes as she connects the dots sometimes faster than me (I guess my mind needs some expansion too!) We’re at the point today where we just grew the sunflower. I agree with Denis: “looks like it was done special for me to please my soul.” You have created a classic! And thanks for the great Christmas pricing, I hope you end up with far more than 2x the revenue from the price cut.

@clas: that D/L link to the Linux version you received along with the WIN/MAC versions is, as far as I know, the full game! Just D/L and go for it.

Yes, iPad version could be great. This game could be on top of what they have now. In fact, the new license relax flash limitations. The only limitation is to not download code from Internet.
