We have finally submitted the game for Apple’s approval last night. The release date is now set on September 8th. Unfortunately, the game needs quite a lot of memory and fast CPU so it works well only on iPad 2. However there are no compromises in this version and it looks great on tablet. We apologize to all iPad 1 owners!
We are also working on Android version for capable Android tablets and also on RIM’s Playbook version.

Great news!

Except, oh no, I only have an iPad 1!

Will it work enough to play on the ipad 1, or are you specifically disallowing it for that platform?

Just out of curiosity, but why is it so hard to make the game run smooth on an iPad? I guessing it’s an emulation rather than running natively…?

How did you do the port? Machinarium uses Flash and Apple does not allow Flash on their devices. Or is it different for Apps? Did you port it to HTML5? (That would be awesome.) Or did you reimplement the engine in Objective-C?

I just bought it for my iPad2. Stuck on 2nd scene. No help, no hints. Not impressed. Can I have my money back?

Okay, I stand corrected. Still not pleased, but at least corrected. Maybe, it should be mentioned somewhere to go to the forum to learn how to play.
But basically, you look at a screen, determine what the puzzle is (not that that helps in any way), and then go get help.
Shoot the spiders and find the solution.
Go back to the game, do the solution and move on to the next puzzle.
hmmmm….still not worth the money.
