We’re thrilled to be bringing our acclaimed adventure title Machinarium to PS Vita. When the PS3 version was released, we called it the best version of the game. In it, we added lots of new features — like the ability to zoom in to get a closer look at the scene, magnetic hotspots, Trophies and more.
The Vita version makes no compromises. In fact, it’s even better! It includes all the enhancements from the PS3 version, but we’ve added some new features to complement PS Vita’s capabilities. You can now control the game not only with the system’s analog sticks and buttons, but also directly with your fingers on the touch screen and rear touch panel. We’ve improved the zoom feature too, so it’s more convenient to play the game in a portable capacity.

The graphics, music and sounds are presented at full quality, and everything runs smoothly and looks as beautiful as ever on Vita’s gorgeous 5″ OLED display. For the best audio experience, put on some nice headphones so you can fully enjoy the award-winning soundtrack by Floex.
We’ve also integrated PSN leaderboards: see how quickly you can finish the game, and how your time stacks up against the rest of the world (compete for the best scores in Machinarium’s minigames, as well).
All in all, we are very happy with the PS Vita version of Machinarium. It will be available on Tuesday, March 26th for $6.99 in the North America region and Europe will follow soon.

Awesome. I’ve only played the PC demo, but wished this would come to the Vita, as I can’t access PSN content on my PS3 thanks to crappy internet. Now I can snag this at a great price and play it to review on the site and support a solid developer in the process. Cool.

I’m from Europe, I have a Vita, I already played and liked Machinarium on PC, and I want to purchase the vita version but I can’t… When does it come to Europe ???? (and why the European Vita owners are always the ”loosers”? Are we ‘diferent’ from Japan or America?…)

Hi all, thanks for the positive buzz!

The game is coming to Europe soon, please be patient, we are a bit delayed due to the region’s different certification process.

@roman
The team is working on some future titles, namely Samorost 3. Machinarium 2 has not been confirmed or announced yet.

@3DS

@red_shroom

Thank you for the explanation, I completely understand now; it’s worth waiting for I guess.
How far into production is Samorost 3? When can we expect to see some of it?

Oh and is there a possibility of a Vita port? I guess that depends on how well Machinarium is selling on the platform, hope it’s selling well.

Kdy bude Evropská PSvita verze ? Proč musíme v Evropě čekat?

@kuzu
It’s coming to Europe on May 1 ! Asia should join on May 7. Japan is still pending, we do not plan to self-publish in Japan, if you are a publisher with some Japan experience you might help us!

@ross james
Samorost3 is a huge undertaking.., 2015 ? We would certainly like to bring it to consoles too, but it is not that straightforward.
