Ipad-propagace02

Well, it took us a while to port Botanicula for iPad (2 years to be more specific) but it’s finally out. It’s almost the same like the original PC and Mac version, we just improved the control design so it’s more convenient for fingers and also the graphics is in higher resolution so it looks great on Retina displays. Get it on App Store for 5 bucks.

So happy to see the iPad version. Thanks, Amanita! :)
Only slight issue I had was when playing the volleyball game…specifically, it was a bit difficult to make the little guy jump up only once…he tended to keep on jumping nonstop. Other than that, the game played perfectly. :)

I’m loving Botanicula on my ipad. However, when I get to part 9 and get to the leach/pod section, I can’t seem to get my little guy into the energy pod before the leach grabs me. It looks like my little guy is drawn to the leach when I go for the energy ball pod…….boo…..i. I can’t get past this, and it is frustrating. I have enjoyed thoroughly until now. Can a support team member email me a reply ? I entered my email to make this comment. Thank you.

Good on you, Amanita! All that hard work has paid off, I think. Great idea to get a hands-on approach to Botanicula. This is a game that is so unique, but perfect at the same time.

Thank you,

FloexFan

I love Botanicula, it’s sssooo cute! I wish you had more merch for it like t-shirts, even plush toys. Although I don’t know if I could have the toys as my sister is creeped out by bugs.

I purchased the ipad version of this beautiful game, and I also bought Machinarium… In my iPad II, the Machinarium game cannot be played, at the very beginning, when I need to put the arm and leg to the robot, the controls do not work… Now with Botanicula, I am at the 3rd part, and I cannot collect the last key, the commands (gestures and taps) do not work… HELP!! I LIKE THIS GAME, but I cannot play it… and there is no way to get my money back… I do not have any problem with any ipad app… please contact me with an answer. BTW, my iOS version is 6.1.3… will this be fixed if I update the iOS?

I’d like to comment on what I thought about Machinarium launch and hope you are doing MUCH BETTER on Samorost 3.

Biggest flaws with Machinarium:
1) Launch price was $15 from this site. I think a good launch price for it would have been $23 for just the digital download, and then do email discount campaign to those who played the demo but couldn’t afford it.

2) Having it in various bundles etc. It would have been better to have Samorost 1&2 in the bundle along with a custom ending promoting Machinarium for special price.

3) NO OLD SCHOOL SIZE BIG BOX WITH HAND PAINTED COVER. I wouldn’t pay anything over $50 as that’s my max for any game. My Max for DVD-plastic case is $20 and that’s ONLY if it’s a multiplayer. Else It’s $10. Those plastic cases devalue the product and the transparent plastic they wrap it up in causes gloss reflection that makes it pointless to try have any nice artwork in the box.

I forgot to define “OLD SCHOOL SIZE BOX”. It’s a size, look and feel that goes well next to the LucasArts game big boxes. To me best games are gorgeus escapism and captivating atmosphere, and that should extend to the box and typefaces used. Throw in some suitably easy brain teasers like in Machinarium or Myst URU and that’s just perfect. (Most adventures games and other Myst games had much harder puzzles and I couldn’t finish them without getting frustrated or worse yet cheating)
