We are happy to report that funds raised from the Humble Botanicula Debut have already saved more than 1000 acres of critically threatened habitats.  John Burton, CEO of the World Land Trust has said of the collaboration:
“I am writing this while I am on a field visit to Paraguay where the threats to their forests and other wilderness are staring me in the face. To get news of this fantastic success is very exciting and I congratulate Amanita Design on this stunning initiative. It is both encouraging and inspiring to see individuals from completely different backgrounds using their talents and innovation to really make a difference to saving the natural world. In the case of Botanicula, this difference is already a very significant one and we are looking forward to using the funds to save real acres in Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Colombia where we can save One Acre for £100”.

We want to apologize to everybody who pre-ordered Botanicula on GOG.com and GamersGate and now is upset because there’s a bundle for any price. We haven’t much time to take care about business and logistics in last few weeks because we were hard at work on the game fixing hundreads of bugs etc. so we made a mistake and let GOG and GG make pre-orders. We simply didn’t think about it and about the consequences, sorry for that. All the pre-orderers should receive some free bonus stuff from GOG and GG in upcoming hours or days. The bonus bundle will include Machinarium, full Botanicula Soundtrack and Botanicula art book which wasn’t released anywhere else yet. I hope it’s not that terrible deal for $9 you paid to support us so we can continue making independent games, we are very grateful for that!

We have just set the release date to April 19th. The game is coming to all Windows, Mac and Linux users and will be available for download at our own website Botanicula.net and also on other channels.

Botanicula won  the IGF Excellence in Audio award at the GDC last week in San Francisco, yippee!! Both music and sound effects are created by the band DVA (which means Two) and both band members Bára and Jan were at the Moscone ballroom to receive the award. Congrats guys!

Btw, the release of the game is close and we are working hard to finish it as soon as possible but the game is still a bit buggy so we had to push back the launch to April. Stay tuned please!
