Nah, the door cannot be opened.
Otherwise it must take you to a secret "cow level." lol Maybe if Gary Larson had been one of the animators. =p ![]() |

I just found all my saved games were gone after I realized Norton had wiped clean all my browsers which it does everyday. Just in case someone has one of those clean-all programs be aware.

Alright, I can't stand secrets in video games I can't figure out... I've googled and googled and read, and actually could not find very many posts on this. Is that door open-able?
If it can't be, my theory is Amanita put it in as a way of keeping the player thinking. It's like a red herring, make us search a little harder. That's the most sense I can make of it. Otherwise it must take you to a secret "cow level." |

I just bought and played Machinarium and fell in love, after two days of playing, I went in the helicopter and got excited...then it was, "the end". Thanks to Amanita Design's awesome artwork, I'm now an addicted mess and don't know what to do, so I came to register just to make this post that Machinarium 2 must be made immediately and at that made available in liquid form so I can drink it up.

Sorry, but we... at least "I"... have no way of debugging your device. (maybe someone that knows Nexus 7 more intimately will chime in?) Meanwhile, search Google Play Support for "Nexus 7". link: http://support.google.com/googleplay/?hl=en Or just, generally, search the web for "Nexus 7" + "black screen" (it may not be Machinarium that's causing your problem) ~A |

Hi,
Last Week Machinarium worked great on my Nexus 7. But since Saturday 13.4. it won't even start on the tablet, I get only a black screen. How can I get Machinarium again to work? My little daughter is impatiently waiting to complete the adventure with the little robot and his girlfriend I've nothing changed on the tablet, its not rooted or so, only plain google release and automatic updates. Any hints? Cheers Ulli |

OK. It was hard for me to see that, when it is computer paths, it is hard for me to follow. Easier to understand when someone writes it out as you did, so thank you for doing that! I will give it a try and keep you posted.

Ah! Now I understand what you're aiming for... and can also see where you went off course. You missed a key word in jst65's explanation of what to do to find your .sol location in Win XP... Path to .sol file: %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\{RANDOMWORD}\localhost\{PathToYourMachinariumInstallDirectory}\machinarium.exe\Machinarium.sol To get immediately to #SharedObjects: Start > Run Type: %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects and hit OK It's LOCALHOST you should be looking for, not MACHINARIUM.NET! The machinarium.net folder (which you can readily see in the #SharedObjects folder) only contains the demo application, so you can replace the .sol in there as often as you want but you'll never see the modification you seek in your installed full game folder. What you'll want to do is first get to the #SharedObjects folder (as jst65 described) then double-click on "localhost". From there drill down into "Program Files" until you finally reach... "Machinarium". THAT is where you'll find the location of the .sol of your current game and then replace it with whatever level you choose from our .sol stash. |
